HOW TO MANAGE TIME BETWEEN WORKING AND STUDY IN AUSTRALIA

Being an international student in Australia who also works part time is not easy. There are several issues at work that will probably create disrpution at school / college. Here are the effective measures that can help you to manage your time between work and study in Australia:

Provide schedule of your classes for managers in your workplace so that your manager can adjust your working hours.

Organise your time to avoid delays in the work place. For example, if you leave school at 4pm, you should at least start the shift at 6pm or 7pm, so you will have time to prepare everything necessary for work and rest.

When you have adequate rest time at work, maximise by reading and reviewing your study notes that have been given before from campus.

Make sure that you understand all of your subjects so you do not need to review the topics that have been discussed previously by your lecturer.

If you have spare time in college or have time available in class, you can use the time to rest early after leaving the job.

When you have something to do, for example, there is an additional class of unexpected or even when you want to relax with friends or have a group assignment or projects, you must inform your manager of the place you work so he can rearrange your working hours.

Hopefully the above tips can help you when learning and working at the same time, so you can run both in a balanced way. And of course you can get the best results with your studies in Australia for your future.

Studying in Australiawill open a lot of opportunities for you but for some it may be a costly investment. The room payments every month, meals every day, transport, shopping, will drain your debit card. But stay calm and find a way to earn more money, here’s how:

Find a scholarship. If you already have a scholarship that is good, then all you need to do is just give your best in your studies so you will be able to keep your scholarship

Help your landlord. If you are living with your landlord do not be afraid to ask them for discounted rates if you are willing to do some housework for them. They will be grateful to have you as their tenant since you are not hesitating to help them. If you do it quite often a good landlord will happy to negotiate, but if you worry they won’t pay, make the agreement from the start.

Be anything you are able to be. if you have a car and love kids, you can apply for a babysitting job. If you enjoy cleaning you can apply as a house maid/cleaner. If you love animals, apply for a part time job as a dog companion or take part in a local pet store/animal shelter. Be anything you want for the sake of making extra money.

Catch your lecturer’s attention. Be good in class, active and always show that you are eager to learn. Some lecturer’s have a lot of work besides their job to teach you in class. If you are successful catch your lecturer’s attention with your active behaviour and your smart brain, it will be possible they offer you a place to become their assistant.

Sell some stuff you never use. Have you ever caught yourself buying something that you will never wear or use? Sell it. Do not wait till it gets old in your cupboard. Some people may need your old books, your old dresses etc. So do not waste it.

Become a proof reader. If you think you’re English is good and you know how to write and are able to spot any mistakes, why don’t you advertise yourself as a proof reader? It is easy if you know the English Language besides you will be able to earn money by doing something you can do everywhere.

If there is a will there is a way. So do not give up on finding a way to earn extra money for yourself. If you feel lost why don’t you use our service?
